Directions for use

CAFARAN ® baits are easy to use, thanks to their self -adhesive covering. Cut the baits out one by one. Use firm pressure to stick the bait (the surface it is stuck to has to be dry):

in kitchens : cupboards under the sink, behind the refrigerator, near stoves or airing cupboards, under the washing machine and dish washer, the inner wall of the water boiler, ...
in bathrooms : under the washbasin, the toilet flush, inside cupboards, the ventilation space for the bath or shower, ...
in living rooms and offices : under television sets, stereo chains, fax machines, telephones, computers, cash registers, behind cupboards, radiators, ...
in general : inside electric boxes, false ceilings, hollow walls, ... In this case, take the bait out of its container, crumble it and insert it into accessible cracks and crevices (for this purpose, CAFARAN ® is also available in granule form in 300 g pots).
Place the baits in all rooms, cellars, attics and dustbin rooms (prevention).

Place twice and even three times as many baits in heavily infested areas.

Avoid wetting the baits.

Refrain from spraying insecticide that make the baits inedible for cockroaches.

CAFARAN ® baits continue to be effective for at least one year.

Cockroaches elimination timetable
CAFARAN ® has the unique quality of being able to BREAK the cockroach reproduction cycle.

Between the laying and hatching stages (10 weeks), the 30-40 larvae contained in each egg case (ootheca) are protected by the shell from traditional sprays. Spraying therefore has to be repeated at frequent intervals.

In contraste only one application of CAFARAN ® is required to eliminate cockroaches, according to the following timetable:

1. A few days after CAFARAN ® bait placement, DISAPPEARANCE of adult cockroaches.

2. Up 10 weeks after placement, the possible APPEARANCE of tiny cockroaches that have hatched out of eggs laid by adults that have now been eliminated.

3. Between three and four months after placement, the DISAPPEARANCE of the tiny cockroaches, which will have consumed the bait, BEFORE THEY HAVE TIME TO PROCREATE.

N.B. : the bait placement date should be carefully noted so as to keep track of how the cockroach elimination process unfolds.

Similarly, any cockroaches that come from outside, any time after the baits are placed, will be poisoned before having time to reproduce. Their undesirable presence is therefore short-lived.

CAFARAN ® therefore guarantees PERMANENT and PREVENTIVE protection.

Practical advices
The most effective way of killing the young cockroaches is to feed them as soon as they are born, before they start looking for food.

This is achieved by placing CAFARAN ® as close as possible to areas where eggs are laid (the cupboard underneath the kitchen sink, ventilation space under the bathtub or shower, etc.).

Consequently, the young cockroaches find the food as soon as they are born, are poisoned and die without moving from their hatching sites.

Advice based on experience with over 2000 placements

The CAFARAN ® bait is small in size, it can be removed from its plastic covering to be inserted in tiny cracks or used in granule form for spreading in inaccessible spots - all of these intrinsic qualities speed up the pace at which cockroaches are eliminated in treated areas.

A few examples :

If cockroaches gather in the spaces sometimes found between the wall and the door frame, it is best to remove the paste from its covering and insert it in this space than to stick it above the frame. The ockroaches will consume the bait more quickly.
If a hole drilled in a ceramic tile is suspected of being the entry point, a few granules should be inserted in the tiny opening so the cockroaches have to eat their way out.
It is better to insert bait removed from its cover or granules in the open space where the heating tube enters the floor than to stick the entire strip near the opening.
In a residential setting, favourite laying spots are the bottom of the cupboard under the kitchen sink and the ventilation space under the bath. Granules should be placed in these areas.
The closer the baits are to laying spots, the quicker the cockroaches discover them and are poisoned before they have time to go looking for food.
